This is probably my most intricate zine, from my most intricate art project so far. 

Play Bodies featured 30 oil portraits of people, mostly strangers, who shared their relationship to their bodies with me in order to create a queer portrait of community, assembled around a wooden carousel designed by Alyag Malkhassian. It was epic - but a 3 meter wide carousel is not easy to show, so I created this zine version for the initial vernissage and have been keeping it in stock ever since. The zine is split in half, like the bodies, which allows people to flip through the tops and bottoms and create different combinations of bodies, just like with the initial installation. At the back of each body, you can find a text written by the person who posed for the painting.

I'm honestly so proud and grateful for having made this work, and I love that the zine keeps living its best life while the carousel and paintings wait for their moment in my studio.
